The Dragon Princess by Lichelle Slater

Princess Elisa, adored by her sisters, loved by the people, and cursed to become a dragon upon her 18th birthday. She has kept this secret well hidden even when the black scales appear and a handsome prince becomes her betrothed. But the only ones who can help her, the fae, have disappeared. Elisa, deciding she's had enough of relying on people, embarks on her own journey to end her curse.

I loved this prose from beginning to end! I actually would not have recognized it as a sleeping beauty retelling because of it's originality. Lichelle has created an MC (main character) that is fun and relatable. I only wish that she would have spent a bit more time on landscapes but hey, that's just me. I liked it a lot! And will continue reading more from this author.
