Cruella De Ville. What made her a villain? What twisted her past so much that she became cruel? Not everything is in black and white. Sometimes, it's morally gray.

I am so glad Serena Valentino became an author! She knocked it out of the park with this one! She beautifully channeled Cruella De Vil and even paid homage to the original author of 101 Dalmatians. Cruella's backstory was so convincing and at times I wept for how awful her mother was towards her. It makes sense to me that Cruella became cruel because she had lack of love from a parent. Not only that but the way she was raised to act and behave. And Serena pulled it off masterfully. I couldn't put the book down. I had to know what happened next. The chapters were nicely paced and were the same length this time.
