We all know the story of Snow White thanks to Disney's first animated movie. I was honestly skeptical about this one because Snow isn't one of my fav Disney princesses. And I didn't think anyone could compare to "Once Upon A Time". Boy, was I wrong!

I decided to read this novel for my great-grandmother who passed six years ago. Snow White was her favorite Disney character as she was born in 1937. The tagline to this book is: "What if the Evil Queen poisoned the prince?"

Because I had become so attached to "Once Upon a Time", I thought the names Regina and James would be in it. Lol. The author chose to go for more traditional German names, such as Ingrid, Georg, and Henrich. I thought it strange at first she changed the Prince's name. His original Disney name was Prince Florian. After much thought though, Henrich sounded a lot more German than Florian.

Jen Calonita has captured my imagination once again. She really outdid herself with this one. The descriptions were so clear that I could picture them in my head. There was one thing that bothered me, though. She got rid of Doc's stuttering. I still don't understand the reason. His stuttering was one thing that I could relate to as a child.

I recommend this book to everyone. 10/10
