Mistress of All Evil by Serena Valentino

Abandoned in a crow tree by her mother, Maleficent grows in the land of Fairies but is rescued by Nanny who becomes her adopted mother. She tries to nourish Maleficent in love but the three good fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather seem intent on bullying her at school. Maleficent doesn't let that deter her even when Cinderella's Fairy Godmother favors the three good fairies and looks upon Maleficent with hate and disgust. Sometimes though, bullying can go too far and turn someone good into something dark and evil.
This one didn't stray much from the live-action version of Maleficent. It had me in surprise with the twists and turns and amazing details! Serena is getting good at describing environments and applying the five senses. I was hooked from beginning to end and loved the different POVs in this one ranging from Snow White, Circe, the Odd Sisters, and of course Maleficent.
10/10 stars!
