Silver by Cheree Alsop

When Jaze moves to a new town, he does everything he can to fit in. But fitting in is hard for a teenage werewolf. Killings spring around him while he deals with the loss of his father. He quickly makes friends with the neighbor, Nikki, daughter of Werewolf Hunters. Now, with his new friend, he must uncover the murderer, protect his pack, and try to keep his werewolf secret.
This book blew me away. I love that Cheree unabashedly addressed the topic of child abuse. It made the characters so relatable. Her prose drew me in. Even though I read an old version of the novel, the story was solid. She has a way of telling a tale while keeping the readers hooked with every chapter even if the characters don't go on an "epic quest". And even better her novels don't have any swearing or sex in them which is rare for a werewolf book. Barely any gore. I love it! And I hope the people reading this blog post will give this book a chance.
