"A Silent Voice"

A touching anime movie that moved my soul on so many levels. When a deaf girl named Shoko comes to Elementary, she begins to get tormented by this kid Shoya. Her mom pulls Shoko out of school because of this.

Meanwhile, Shoya gets outed by his own teacher as being the bully and everyone in the classroom starts pointing fingers even though they are just as guilty. Years later, Shoya, regretting his actions, tries to commit suicide. When that fails, he reconnects with Shoko.

They develop a friendship after he apologizes. It's interesting to see this pov from the bully. He constantly blames himself.

It makes the viewer realize, that a bully can be bullied and has regrets. Not only that, but he tries to correct his mistakes by befriending the one he bullied. Me personally, I have had a bully apologize to me but I never wanted to be friends.

Shoko shows me that she's willing to put the past behind her and move on. It's the most courageous thing I've ever seen. I think we all can learn a lot from this movie and how we treat others.
