Kaynan finds Jaze and his pack. Even though fitting in is hard for Kaynan, he struggles with his new form as a wolf knowing he has been human before the accident. It is revealed that Tannin had turned him into a werewolf genetically altering his DNA. This has never been done before as werewolfism is an inherited trait.

What I love about this book and Cheree's books is that she includes mates for her characters. Not just fleeting ones but a deep love that lasts forever. Her characters have real growth too. In the beginning, Kaynan loathes himself for causing the car accident that killed his sister Colleen and by the end, he comes to learn that he isn't a bad guy. I can't wait to read her next installment, Violet.
